Learning to develop incoming links for your local business site is important for growing your business online. Let’s take a look at some solid yet easy links you need to add.

How to Develop Solid Incoming Links for Small Business Sites

As a local business, one of the first things you need to do is get on Google. The easiest way to do this is through Google+ and their site for business, Google My Business.  Setting your business up with a Google account will open many doors to help your business.

Google My Business uses Google + and Google Maps to help your business be found in online searches. It also allows you to connect your business to future and current customers. Easy to set up, make sure that you verify your correct location, add business hours, the business category, and upload high clarity images that your customers will see. Google will pull the top 3 rankings in the search engine results page and display images for that business.

Reviews are also included on Google My Business and they are a strongly weighted because they are customer driven. Potential customers can see and read the reviews on your page. It is a great tool to use.

Add Other Solid Links

After you verify and complete your Google account, also look to add and target other third party links. A local storefront business will want to include listings on the Yellow Pages. These ranks high in search results.

Also check out Yelp. Even if you are not a service type business, claiming your business will bring you a strong back link. It also gives you the ability to upload images from your business and respond to reviews.

Bing is another strong search engine and they offer the ability to claim your business through their Bing Places for Business site.  Simply claim your business, update your listing and verify it to be added.

You can also look locally for directory listings for small businesses. Often there are free listing available on sites where you can add your business.

Developing strong and solid links to your business website starts with these basics. They will help your local clientele find you more easily and will help with incoming traffic.
