Crafting a Solid Web Plan for Your Small Business

There is a saying that goes something like this… If you don’t know where you are going, how do you know when you get there? I am sure I paraphrased the heck out of that but the jist is the same.

In business and in life, we need goals. We need to craft a plan and a path so we know where we are going and not just wandering around trying to figure it out as we go. Sure, that works for some, but if you have a solid direction and plan of action, chances are better that you are going to get there faster and maybe, just maybe, know when you reach your destination.

It’s a new year so why not take the time to create a new plan for your web marketing this year?

Crafting a web plan doesn’t have to be difficult. There are a few ideas and steps that you can take to help you write down and focus on where you want your business to go this year.

  • Analyze last year’s performance
  • Brainstorm and jot down ideas and directions you want your business to go
  • Target issues you need to fix
  • Create plans for product and information innovation
  • Create social media plans for sharing information
  • Plan and Track SEO changes and modifications for the new year
  • Update and refresh your target market
  • Update and refresh your vision or mission statements
  • Plan for marketing messages to relay your information in a timely manner
  • Plan and Calendar blogging posts and topics
  • Create analysis reports and tracking methods for new implementations
  • Update web design and branding as needed
  • Focus on providing quality information and products customers want

These recommendations may look simple just written down, but once you start working on planning out and laying the foundation for a new web plan, you will find that these will allow you to use in-depth analysis and craft a solid plan to help your business grow and develop in the new year. After all, that is why we are in business.

Take a look at your web plan and see where some changes could help your small business.
